Am 14.11.2009 findet in Freiburg eine unangemeldete Demo für autonome Freiräume und gegen Nazis statt. Los geht es um 14 Uhr am Schwabentor. Die Demo ist Teil von antirepressiven und antifaschistischen Aktionstagen mit weiteren Demos und Aktionen unter anderem in Rostock, Göttingen und München am 14.11. und am 11.11. in Warschau. Aus der Region Stuttgart wird ein Bus über Tübingen nach Freiburg fahren.

erfolgreichen Protesten gegen die WTO- Konferenz in Seattle findet nun
vom 30. November bis zum 2. Dezember 2009 die WTO-Ministerkonferenz in
Genf statt. Die Vorzeichen und die Lage sind natürlich nicht zu
vergleichen mit denen vor 10 Jahren. Doch auch die WTO-Konferenz in
Genf enthält einiges an Potenzial für erfolgreiche Proteste seitens der
globalisierungskritischen Strömungen.

Am Freitag, den 7. August, war die Domain indymedia.org für einige Zeit nicht erreichbar. Der Grund war, dass die für indymedia.org zuständige Registrierungsfirma Dotster den DNS-Eintrag eigenmächtig geändert hat. Dotster ging davon aus, dass indymedia.org nicht korrekt registriert sei und führte keine seriöse Prüfung dieser Falschinformation durch. Als Reaktion werden wir die Registrierungsfirma wechseln. Wir bitten die temporäre Nichterreichbarkeit zu entschuldigen.

Schon vor den Protesten gegen den geplanten REP-Aufmarsch am 6. Juni kann die antifaschistische Gegenmobilisierung einen Erfolg einstreichen. Die REP mussten ihren Infostand und ihre Versammlung in der Innenstadt absagen. Stattdessen gibt es einen neuen Treffpunkt, aktuell in Form einer Kundgebung ab 12 Uhr am Ebertpark (Wendeschleife) im nördlichen Stadtteil Friesenheim. Dies stellt AntifaschistInnen vor neue Herausforderungen. Eine Gegenkundgebung von DGB und Netzwerk gegen Rechts wurde vom Platanenhein (Berliner Platz) ebenfalls in den Norden, in den Friedenspark verlegt (Treffpunkt 12 Uhr). Ab dem kommenden Freitag wollen die Rechtspopulist_innen von „pro Köln“ und „pro NRW“ ihren im September 2008 kläglich gescheiterten Anti-Islam-Kongress wiederholen. Daran, dass dieses Treffen von Nazis und Rechtspopulist_innen aus den USA und ganz Europa scheiße ist, hat sich nichts geändert. Und doch ist einiges anders als im September.

Today the opening demo „Make Militarism History – Against NATO and their summit in Strasbourg, Kehl and Baden-Baden“ is going to take place in Freiburg.
The unannounced demonstration will start at 6 pm at Bertoldsbrunnen in the city centre of Freiburg. This demonstration will open one week of creative resistance against militarization and the capitalist logic of war.

Smash Capitalism – Sabotage the NATO Summit Against the Police State, War, and the Order of Things
On April 3rd and 4th, the NATO [North
Atlantic Treaty Organization] Member States will be meeting in Strasbourg
[South East France] and Baden-Baden [South West Germany]. The occasion: the 60th Anniversary
of the creation of NATO. Not simply a birthday party, the summit will discuss the
sustainability of the military alliance.
Prepared to resist using a wide variety of tactics, peace activists to

alongside the full force of state repression.
For us, the NATO summit is an opportunity to demonstrate the critique of
the senseless practices of capitalism, including the creation of a police state
and the accompanying bureaucratization of society, and to bring that critique

through the protests, make visible a radical criticism of the current order.

On the 3rd and 4th of April - right after the G20-meeting in London - in Strasbourg, France, and Baden-Baden, Germany, a summit meeting of the NATO members is taking place for NATO's 60th anniversary. No less than the very continuance of this military alliance is at stake. Expect broad resistance from all section of the left from labor unions through to extra-parlimentary radical leftists – as well as heavy state repression. In Strasbourg a resistance camp is under construction, while the Convergence Center (CC) in Freiburg is already in use by activists getting ready for the summit protests. Another CC will open in Strasbourg on the 31st of March. The Infopoints have published an infosheet to support the campaign.
Some 30,000 police are expected to secure this militarist gathering, while German intelligence services are aggressively aiming to recruit activists (1 | 2 | analysis). The CC Legal Team will provide legal advice and aid to protesters from across the border. The protests will kick-off on Monday, 30th of March, with an unregistered demonstration in Freiburg. Prior to this demonstration the cops attempted to intimidate activists by harassing the alleged organizers of the latest major leftwing demonstration in December, 2008. Their only achievement was to convince activists and the general public that they have no intention of enforcing the law.
